CASABLANCA CEILING FANS
Casablanca ceiling fans were originally designed to be elegant and slow moving. They were about style and ambience rather than cooling. The ceiling fans were inspired by the movie of the same name and in the mid 70’s the company began production of ceiling fans - not to move air around - but to provide that certain look and style.
Since then the Casablanca ceiling fan company has combined style and elegance with functionality. They were the first to provide decorative yet effective fans and are still an innovator.
They were the first to introduce a fan with a silent infinitely variable speed control ("Slumber-Quiet"), the first to introduce computerized programmable wall and remote controls ("InteliTouch" and "ComfortTouch"), the first to introduce cutting edge modern designs (such as the Saturn and Venus).
Casablanca fans have also set a standard for quality, using for many years Emerson K55 motors (the oldest Casablancas have K63 and Dayton motors, the newest have imported Casablanca XLP motors), hardwood blades, and quality finishes.
Casablanca designs have always been gorgeous (their replicas have been very accurate and their new designs have been striking). Most other fan companies started by imitating or copying Casablanca.
As is so often the case, production of ceiling fans has moved offshore to countries that can harness cheap labour. Casablanca ceiling fans have also moved their production and now compete with a large range of manufacturers. They still offer superior quality to most cheap imports and are still somewhat of a market leader - just not as prominent as they once were.
